So the past 2 weekends Ty and I have had to work on a friends office. She was our photographer for our wedding. This place was a loft in downtown Cincinnati and we had 4 rooms to paint. On My way there I saw the most amazing rainbow! I have never seen one so bright and full. Of course I felt lucky to have my camera, but the pictures don't do it justice!

So the first night wasn't so bad, but we had to sand everything, and I hate sanding!! It took forever to prep the walls but by Saturday we were painting. I don't know how Ty does it everyday?? I will tell you one thing, he worked so long that I couldn't stand it anymore so I started to cry. We worked for hours and took only a 20 min lunch break. It took us 2 weekends to finish. It sucked, but it looked so good by the time we finished!

Bathroom was not my favorite color. And they need baseboard down.

Ok, I so have to go now. Ty and I are painting again this weekend for a school. He is going to kill me. I told him I have already left and here I am playing. I best be going to go get him some breakfast at Mc D's and get my butt over there to help.

Charlotte, NC

It's Charlotte!

So finally we went to visit my sister Jacque and her family in Charlotte, NC. We had no idea what an easy drive it was. Which maybe I shouldn't say that, because then she'll expect me down there more often. Ty and I was able to see my little niece in such a different light. Usually when she comes to KY she is very shy and reserved. Well not when we come to her territory!! She immediately loved seeing us and was cracking up at everything. I didn't know if she got into the stash of daddy's beer or what! It was definitely the highlight of our trip.

The main reason for our visit to Charlotte was to go watch Ty's parents, Janet and Bob. We went to support them in a breast cancer walk that they did. It lasted 2 days, and they walked about 38 miles. The first day was their long day of 26 miles and then they had to walk 12 more today. I was so proud of them because they have been training for months! My mother -in-law has been waiting for this so long, and has raised so much money for this cause It was obvious that she was so happy to be finally participating in this event. I am definitely considering joining them next year! Overall we had such a great weekend, and are looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks for Thanksgiving.

Nothing ever interesting happens...Until now

So it has been so difficult to write and put pictures up on here considering Ty and I don't really do that much. Just this past month we actually have been slammed with so much to do. So I figured this was a great opportunity to update this blog. That way my sister Jacque can stop telling my to put stuff on here. I am going to try my best to stick with it.

My little sister Luci and best friend Courtney both had their weddings a week apart. Needless to say, I was super tired after it was all over with. They both looked amazingly beautiful, and I was so honored to be apart of their weddings. I felt as if Ty and I just walked down this very same path, so everything was still so fresh in my mind. I remember my feelings right before walking down the isle and trying my best not to cry. It truly was the best day of my life .... so far! I knew that Luci and Court felt the same way.

Today I went with my in-laws on a 3mile walk for breast cancer in Huntington, WV(25 mins. away). They are preparing to walk in Chartlotte, NC for breast cancer. I think that walk is around 35-40 something miles. I didn't get to take pictures today b/c my camera died. But I'll be sure to take them next weekend!! I am so proud and excited of my in-laws. They are so dedicated to this walk, they have been training for months (and lost tons of weight!).

Hot Run!

I just had a great workout... if I could only do it everyday! It is so hot outside but I felt motivated today to play with my new birthday toy. I loved it. I set my goal of 500 calories and the ipod tells you every 50 calories that you just burned. It makes you want to keep going and it is super easy. It will track miles, time calories and pace. I did 5.5 miles today. I am in love with it. I can get online and track my progress as well as compete with people. This was a great toy. As long as I keep motivated, I might just get that hot body I've always wanted!

My birthday

So it was my 28th yesterday. Wow! It seems so crazy that I feel younger than ever. Ten years ago I thought people who were this age were so old. Now I wonder if people who are ten years younger than me look at me as being old? I truly feel so young, now that I am begining my new life with my husband.

My parents sent me flowers at work, which were so sweet that I cried when I got them. My husband bought me flowers too. I love flowers! My in laws came over for some burgers, dogs and cake (chocolate ice cream cake.....yuck... poor Ty he tried). They each gave me a gift that went with eachother's gift. Janet and Bob (parents in-law) gave me an ipod, so cool I love it. Drew (brother in law) gave me this ipod counter that goes into a running shoe. Basically you have to have a pair of Nike shoes that inserts into the bottom of the shoe and it will count your calories, miles, and time while you walk/ run. It is really neat. It will connect to the ipod and a voice will come on to let you know your progress. I can't wait to go running. So of course I needed the shoes, so Ty got me the pair of shoes to go with it.

Overall I had a good birthday. I missed my family terribly, but I still had people I love around me. I just hope that when 30 comes around I will be able to feel as young as I do today....we'll see.

Our 1st summer weekend

Finally it feels like summer. We spent the weekend hanging out with friends and cleaning our pool. Friday night we had couple of friends over to grill hot dogs, and play corn hole. I don't know them very well, but Tyler seems to be getting along with his new found friend Josh. He lives down the street from us and bought the house across the street. They are constantly doing weird things together, like scraping metal... who does that for fun? They also have strange hobbies like collecting cans so they can go recycle them. I seriously think they are doing it for the pennies! So if I can't ever find Tyler, I know exactly were he is at. Anyways ... Josh and Kelly, his girlfriend, are very sweet and seem like good people. I am sure I'll get to know them better over the summer.

Saturday I attempted to go running in the middle of the hot day and I think I nearly passed out. I don't know if it was the best idea, but I felt good afterwards. Later we went to his friend's (Ciara) bridal shower. I am a loser and went to bed early, while Ty hung out with his buddies.

We played it low key today and sat out by our pool. It still needs cleaning, but it was still nice to just relax together and be lazy with one another! The poor boys, Chance and Harley, wanted to get in the pool but were too chicken to jump. We like to tease them to get in, but I have no clue how we would get them out it they actually would jump in.
It is bed time and I have to try to get ready for another work week. I am 28 years old this week, and it is a bit scary to hear the number, but I totally don't I feel it. I am loving my life so much that I don't have time to worry about how old I am getting. Okay, have to check laundry and hit the sack, night!

Our First

This is our family blog. Although it is only our 2 dogs, my husband and myself, I thought it would be a creative way to keep in touch with people. Of course the idea came from my sister Jacque when she started her blog. I find it to be an amazing treat seeing the new things my niece is experiencing. So I figured that although we don't have much that is happening, it can still give people the sense that they are right here with us.
