Charlotte, NC

It's Charlotte!

So finally we went to visit my sister Jacque and her family in Charlotte, NC. We had no idea what an easy drive it was. Which maybe I shouldn't say that, because then she'll expect me down there more often. Ty and I was able to see my little niece in such a different light. Usually when she comes to KY she is very shy and reserved. Well not when we come to her territory!! She immediately loved seeing us and was cracking up at everything. I didn't know if she got into the stash of daddy's beer or what! It was definitely the highlight of our trip.

The main reason for our visit to Charlotte was to go watch Ty's parents, Janet and Bob. We went to support them in a breast cancer walk that they did. It lasted 2 days, and they walked about 38 miles. The first day was their long day of 26 miles and then they had to walk 12 more today. I was so proud of them because they have been training for months! My mother -in-law has been waiting for this so long, and has raised so much money for this cause It was obvious that she was so happy to be finally participating in this event. I am definitely considering joining them next year! Overall we had such a great weekend, and are looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks for Thanksgiving.

Nothing ever interesting happens...Until now

So it has been so difficult to write and put pictures up on here considering Ty and I don't really do that much. Just this past month we actually have been slammed with so much to do. So I figured this was a great opportunity to update this blog. That way my sister Jacque can stop telling my to put stuff on here. I am going to try my best to stick with it.

My little sister Luci and best friend Courtney both had their weddings a week apart. Needless to say, I was super tired after it was all over with. They both looked amazingly beautiful, and I was so honored to be apart of their weddings. I felt as if Ty and I just walked down this very same path, so everything was still so fresh in my mind. I remember my feelings right before walking down the isle and trying my best not to cry. It truly was the best day of my life .... so far! I knew that Luci and Court felt the same way.

Today I went with my in-laws on a 3mile walk for breast cancer in Huntington, WV(25 mins. away). They are preparing to walk in Chartlotte, NC for breast cancer. I think that walk is around 35-40 something miles. I didn't get to take pictures today b/c my camera died. But I'll be sure to take them next weekend!! I am so proud and excited of my in-laws. They are so dedicated to this walk, they have been training for months (and lost tons of weight!).
